Are you passionate about global health, infectious disease advocacy, and health systems strengthening? The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is seeking highly motivated and organized individuals to join as the Global Health Committee & Coalition Manager. This dynamic volunteer position combines responsibilities across IDA’s Specialized and Cross-Cutting Committees and our two coalitions, Primary Healthcare Coalition (PHCC) and Global Health Finance Coalition (GHFC), offering hands-on leadership experience in global health coordination, stakeholder engagement, event management, and policy advocacy.

Responsibilities
🗂 Committee & Coalition Management and Coordination
Onboard and support members of IDA Committees and Coalitions.
Facilitate virtual meetings with members and stakeholders, including agenda development, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.
Maintain organized records, mailing lists, Google Drive folders, and Slack channels.
👥 Member Engagement & Strategic Alignment
Provide onboarding guidance, encourage contributions to newsletters, reports, and publications.
Coordinate mid- and end-of-year surveys for performance and satisfaction tracking.
Align committee and coalition activities with IDA’s global priorities (e.g., AMR, Vaccines, UHC, One Health, Climate Change).
🎤 Event Management & Advocacy Campaigns
Lead concept development, planning, and delivery of virtual/hybrid events.
Follow IDA’s internal guidelines, including partnership development, speaker logistics, calendar coordination, and CTA development.
Ensure event visibility on IDA’s website with RSVP forms and dissemination plans.
✍️ Content Development & Communications
Draft concept notes, post-event reports, newsletters, policy briefs, and Calls to Action.
Collaborate with the communications team to highlight member activities and promote coalition goals.
🤝 Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
Liaise with global health NGOs, researchers, policymakers, and funders.
Foster collaboration across IDA’s internal teams (Policy, Journal, Communications, Membership).
Requirements
Education & Background:
Academic background in public/global health, health policy, health economics, biomedical sciences, or related fields.
Experience in management of global health initiatives, stakeholder coordination, or event planning is a plus.
Skills:
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills (verbal & written).
Proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Teams, and Canva.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
