Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) and Vector-Borne Diseases (VBDs) Committee

The NTDs & VBDs Committee brings together efforts to address Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) and Vector-Borne Diseases (VBDs) under one unified platform. Recognizing the growing geographic and climate-driven spread of these diseases, this committee promotes integrated strategies that reflect shared risk factors, including poverty, limited healthcare access, and ecological change.

Through its collaborative approach, the committee works to:

  •  Elevate the visibility of underfunded diseases such as leishmaniasis, dengue, and Chagas

  •  Foster research and innovation across shared control measures

  •  Amplify advocacy and policy alignment with One Health and antimicrobial stewardship frameworks

The committee collaborates with key international and national stakeholders to improve prevention, surveillance, and equitable access to care.
