The Global Health Finance Coalition (GHFC) is a cross-sector platform hosted by the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA), dedicated to closing critical financing gaps in global health through strategic advocacy, partnership building, and coordinated action. GHFC brings together governments, civil society, multilateral institutions, philanthropic actors, and private sector partners to advocate for equitable, sustainable health financing worldwide.
The Global Health Finance Coalition Associate will play a key role in supporting GHFC’s operational, advocacy, and coordination functions. This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional with strong interest in global health financing, policy engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and coalition-based advocacy. The Associate will work closely with GHFC leadership to advance strategic initiatives, manage coalition activities, and strengthen GHFC’s influence in global health financing arenas.
Responsibilities
COALITION COORDINATION & OPERATIONS
Support the day-to-day coordination of GHFC activities, including scheduling and facilitating virtual meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes and action items.
Maintain and update coalition records, internal communication channels, and shared resources for GHFC members.
Assist in tracking deliverables, timelines, and commitments across GHFC work streams.
MEMBER ENGAGEMENT & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Facilitate onboarding and engagement of GHFC members, including civil society organizations, policy bodies, and funding partners.
Support development of membership materials, briefings, newsletters, and coalition updates.
Coordinate communication between GHFC stakeholders and partner organizations to ensure alignment on advocacy priorities.
STRATEGIC ADVOCACY SUPPORT
Contribute to the development of advocacy products, including policy briefs, concept notes, position statements, and communications plans aligned with GHFC priorities.
Support GHFC representation and visibility at key global health platforms (e.g., World Health Assembly, UNGA, and health financing forums).
Monitor global health financing developments and contribute insights to internal discussions.
EVENT PLANNING & EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT
Assist in planning and execution of coalition events, webinars, workshops, and global dialogues related to health financing.
Coordinate logistics, speaker engagement, and dissemination of event outputs.
COMMUNICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE SHARING
Support production of external communication materials that articulate GHFC’s mission, campaign goals, and policy recommendations.
Compile and share GHFC insights, key messages, and advocacy outcomes across digital platforms and member networks.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public health, global health policy, international development, economics, finance, or a related discipline.
1–4 years of relevant professional experience in global health advocacy, policy research, coalition coordination, or health financing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to produce clear, policy-oriented content for diverse audiences.
Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to build and sustain relationships with stakeholders from civil society, government, and multilateral institutions.
Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
A proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to GHFC’s mission of equitable health financing.
