About the job
The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is looking for a motivated and hands-on Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR team.
This is an operational HR role reporting to the HR Manager supervising all HRBPs and with a strong focus on recruitment and talent acquisition, while also supporting broader HR activities. The HR Business Partner will work closely with IDA departments to understand their people needs, coordinate recruitment processes and ensure a positive and well-organized experience for candidates and internal colleagues.
The position is particularly suited to someone who wants to contribute to a mission-driven international organization, gain or expand practical HR experience, and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Partner with IDA departments to understand recruitment and staffing needs.
Coordinate recruitment processes from vacancy preparation and advertising through candidate screening, interviews and selection.
Proactively identify and approach potential candidates and relevant talent networks.
Liaise regularly with hiring managers and provide practical support throughout the recruitment process.
Maintain accurate recruitment records, candidate information and recruitment tracking.
Support onboarding and other day-to-day HR operations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of practical HR processes, templates and tools.
Build constructive relationships across IDA and provide responsive, client-oriented HR support.
Contribute to HR projects and activities according to departmental priorities.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive and comfortable getting things done. The successful candidate should have:
Strong motivation to contribute to the public, non-profit or international development sector.
Education and/or practical experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology or another relevant area.
Previous experience in an NGO, non-profit, public-sector or international environment is an advantage.
Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt between formal and informal communication styles.
A collaborative and client-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently while being an active member of a team.
Confidence working toward agreed recruitment priorities, timelines and monthly objectives.
Good working knowledge of Google Workspace applications.
Availability to contribute approximately 15 hours per week.
