The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is a global public health advocacy organization dedicated to addressing the challenges posed by infectious diseases by bringing together diverse stakeholders through a One Health approach.

Position Summary
The Outreach and Engagement Intern will support IDA's Global Health Committee & Coalition Department by strengthening member engagement, expanding the Alliance's network, and assisting with committee coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, organizational tasks, and contributing to a global public health mission.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day activities of the Global Health Committee & Coalition Department.
Identify, recruit, and engage new committee members and member organizations.
Help expand IDA's global network by researching and reaching out to prospective member organizations.
Follow up with inactive committee members to encourage renewed participation.
Process joint membership applications and maintain accurate member databases and spreadsheets.
Assist with committee outreach and engagement activities to strengthen participation across IDA's network.
Requirements
Education & Background:
Academic background in public/global health, health policy, health economics, biomedical sciences, or related fields.
Experience in management of global health initiatives, stakeholder coordination, or event planning is a plus.
Skills:
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills (verbal & written).
Proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Teams, and Canva.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
