About the job
The PHCC Lead will play a key role in coordinating and driving the activities of the Primary Healthcare Coalition (PHCC), a collaborative platform under the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA). The coalition brings together stakeholders across global health, primary care, and policy to promote equitable access to primary healthcare services, integration of infectious and non-communicable diseases prevention, and strengthening of people-centered health systems.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional passionate about primary healthcare, partnerships, and advocacy who is seeking hands-on leadership experience in coalition management, stakeholder engagement, and policy influence.
Responsibilities
Coalition Management & Coordination
Onboard and support PHCC members, ensuring engagement and contribution to coalition activities.
Facilitate regular virtual meetings with members and stakeholders, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.
Maintain organized coalition records and folders.
Strategic Planning & Member Engagement
Align coalition activities with PHCC’s strategic priorities and IDA’s global health financing agenda.
Provide onboarding guidance and encourage member contributions to newsletters, reports, and publications.
Event Leadership & Advocacy Campaigns
Lead the development, planning, and execution of PHCC events (virtual/hybrid), such as webinars, workshops, and high-level dialogues on global health financing.
Follow IDA’s guidelines on partnership building, speaker logistics, calendar coordination, and Calls to Action (CTAs).
Ensure event visibility on IDA’s website and manage dissemination plans.
Content Development & Policy Input
Contribute to drafting concept notes, post-event reports, newsletters, policy briefs, and CTAs in collaboration with colleagues.
Contribute to advocacy materials highlighting the importance of strong, equitable primary healthcare systems.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
Liaise with global health NGOs, researchers, policymakers, funders, and private sector stakeholders.
Collaborate with IDA’s communications and policy teams to promote PHCC activities and strengthen coalition impact.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Academic background in public/global health, primary care, health policy, or related fields.
Experience in coalition coordination, stakeholder engagement, or primary healthcare advocacy is a strong asset.
Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to write concise policy-oriented content (briefs, concept notes, event reports).
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Canva.
Knowledge of primary healthcare frameworks, UHC policies, and global health initiatives is desirable.
