Global Infectious Disease Awareness Week

Global Infectious Disease Awareness Week (GIDAW) is a weeklong online campaign organised by the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA), timed to land exactly when WHO sets its annual agenda at its Executive Board meeting in Geneva.

For one week, IDA's network — 12+ expert committees, members and partner organisations — speaks with one voice to push three concrete asks forward: a single consolidated guidance document, funding prioritised toward the highest-impact interventions, and a coordinated mechanism that turns agreements into action.

Participating organisations can share campaign content on their own channels, sign the joint statement backing the Triple Ask, and contribute an expert voice or story to the campaign.
