Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance: Stewardship, Diagnostics and Innovation

Side-event roundtable at WHA79

19 May 2026 | 10:00–12:00 CET

SDG Solution Space

This side event is organised by the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA), in partnership with ReAct Asia Pacific, Global Sepsis Alliance, Amref Health Africa, Active Citizenship Network (ACN), and Rio de Janeiro State University, and sponsored by Precise Health.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) continues to pose a growing threat to global health, health systems, and sustainable development. While political commitments around AMR have increased in recent years, major challenges remain in translating policy into meaningful implementation, particularly in prevention, stewardship, diagnostics, innovation, and equitable access to solutions.
