ABOUT THE EVENT Surveillance and research across the human, animal and environmental health sectors continue to rely on data that remain fragmented across disconnected systems, standards, institutions and jurisdictions. The challenge is no longer simply the volume of data being generated, but its quality, representativeness, interoperability, and capacity to be shared and used responsibly across sectors and borders.
This session brings together scientists, data governance specialists and policy leaders to examine the scientific, technical, legal and political conditions required for more interoperable, equitable and sovereignty-respecting One Health data systems — and what would be needed for future data architectures to strengthen national systems, reduce inequalities in data capacity, and translate information into timely public health action.
The Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Public Health will be hosting the event and producing an outcome document. Discussion held in Lisbon will provide an intellectual and policy foundation for a forthcoming editorial in…
