Airborne & Respiratory Pathogens
Coordinating civil society policy engagement on respiratory and airborne infectious diseases - from tuberculosis and COVID-19 to emerging respiratory threats.
The Airborne and Respiratory Committee is IDA's platform for coordinated civil society advocacy on the full spectrum of respiratory infections. We engage WHO IHR processes, support End TB strategy implementation, and develop joint positions on equitable diagnostics, infection prevention, and post-pandemic preparedness. Our transmission-based approach ensures civil society advocacy keeps pace with an evolving respiratory disease landscape.
