On 7 November 2025, Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) organised the Nordic One Health Dialogue (NOHD) in Copenhagen, Denmark. Held the day after the WHO/Europe–Danish Government International One Health Conference, the Dialogue brought together policymakers, researchers, and civil society representatives to discuss how the Nordic region can strengthen its contribution to the global One Health agenda.
Objectives of the Dialogue
Prioritise One Health in Nordic official development assistance (ODA) by demonstrating its relevance to global health security, pandemic preparedness, and sustainable development
Highlight the role of civil society in shaping ODA priorities and amplifying advocacy for increased investment in One Health
Support capacity-building in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) through Nordic partnerships focused on surveillance, prevention, and cross-sectoral response
Mobilise Nordic influence within EU and multilateral ODA agendas to position One Health as a defined funding priority and strengthen global policy alignment
Foster cross-sector dialogue to advance innovative and actionable financing mechanisms for One Health
