About the job
The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fundraising Associate to support our growing fundraising team. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop practical experience in donor relations, grant writing, and nonprofit resource mobilization while contributing to a mission-driven organization advancing global health.
As a Fundraising Associate, you will work closely with the Fundraising Lead and a diverse, international team to research funding opportunities, prepare donor outreach materials, and assist in the coordination of fundraising activities. You will gain valuable insight into how a global NGO operates and plays a critical role in sustaining impactful health initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assist in researching and mapping potential donors, including foundations, philanthropic organizations, and institutional partners.
Support the drafting, editing, and formatting of grant proposals, concept notes, and fundraising materials.
Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Help coordinate donor outreach and follow-up communications.
Contribute to fundraising reporting and tracking progress toward funding targets.
Collaborate with the Fundraising Lead and team members to align efforts with IDA’s strategic priorities.
Requirements

Educational Background
Bachelor or Master’s degree in progress or completed in nonprofit management, communications, international relations, global health, or related fields.
Coursework or certifications in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit finance are a plus.
Experience
Previous experience in fundraising, grant writing, or donor relations, through internships, volunteer work, or academic projects, is beneficial.
Familiarity with the nonprofit sector and understanding of global health issues is advantageous.
Location
Preference for candidates within a time zone close to Central European Time (CET) to align with core working hours.
