The Research & Clinical Trials Committee promotes patient-centered, ethical, and community-engaged approaches to clinical research across infectious diseases. It was established to enhance transparency, bridge trust between communities and science, and strengthen literacy around clinical trials.

Carl Aryan
Partnership & Committees Director
Carl is the Partnership & Committees Director at the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA), where he leads strategic collaboration efforts and oversees the organization’s core thematic committees. His work spans critical areas including antimicrobial resistance (AMR), digital health and technology, and research and clinical trials—with a strong focus on patient relations and community engagement.
With a Medical Doctorate Degree in Dentistry (D.M.D.) and a background in public health research, Carl brings a multidisciplinary approach to advancing IDA’s mission. He is recognized for his contributions to helping patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and now based in Denmark, continues to champion a “One Health” approach to infectious disease challenges.
