Membership Agreement

General Information
As a Member-based organisation, the IDA supports key actors in the infectious disease space by providing access to critical resources, expertise, and networking opportunities. The IDA also aims to foster collaboration among stakeholders and strengthen collective efforts in the fight against infectious diseases on a global scale.

To further expand its impact, the IDA is opening its membership on a pro-bono basis from January 2025 to December 2025. This initiative aims to bring together a broad network of stakeholders, empowering Members to contribute to and benefit from IDA’s strategic activities, policy monitoring, and advocacy efforts in the fight against infectious diseases
Member Benefits

Representation on Committees: Members are entitled to one seat on a chosen IDA committee, enabling them to actively contribute to strategic discussions and decision-making processes. See here for our committees.

Event Participation: Members are invited to participate in and support IDA-hosted events throughout the year, which provide key platforms for policy discussions, advocacy, and collaboration among global health actors. IDA events include both virtual and in-person opportunities, ensuring broad engagement across different audiences.

Alliance Updates: Members receive regular updates on IDA’s activities, including ongoing initiatives, advocacy efforts, and research developments.

​Partner Updates: Members gain insights from IDA’s network of partners, offering valuable perspectives and opportunities for collaboration.

​Global Networking Opportunities: Membership provides access to IDA’s extensive network of infectious disease experts, organisations, and stakeholders, fostering meaningful connections and partnerships across the globe.

Terms & Conditions
To become a member of the IDA, prospective members must agree to the following terms and conditions:​

Use of Member Logo: As a Member of the Infectious Disease Alliance, you consent to the inclusion of your organisation’s logo on IDA’s website and other relevant materials to acknowledge your association with IDA.

Data policy: by joining IDA members agree to IDA’s Privacy Policy (link to subpage) receive regular updates over newsletter and other communication channels, and be contacted by IDA regularly.

Event Participation: Members will be invited to IDA-hosted events, such as conferences, webinars, and workshops, and are encouraged to participate actively to enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the IDA network.

Membership Duration: Membership is valid for one year, from 01 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. While no specific termination period is outlined, IDA reserves the right to review and, if necessary, discontinue membership if the Member is found in violation of the terms and conditions or the core mission of IDA. The member can also terminate the membership at any time.

Governing Law: This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising under this agreement will be subject to Danish jurisdiction.

Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest: Members commit to respecting the confidentiality of any information shared during IDA meetings, through internal documents, or other channels of communication. Members must not disclose or use such information for personal or organisational gain outside the scope of their membership. Members also agree to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may arise during their association with IDA.

Conduct and Representation: Members are expected to align with IDA’s mission and values, engaging respectfully with other Members and IDA representatives. Members shall not use their affiliation with IDA to misrepresent their organisation or activities

Limitation of Liability: IDA provides the Membership Agreement "as is" and assumes no liability for the outcomes of the Member’s projects or initiatives. Members acknowledge that IDA’s role is to provide support, resources, and networking opportunities, but it does not guarantee specific results.

Amendments to Terms: IDA reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions. Members will be notified of any significant changes, which will take effect upon notice or a mutually agreed-upon date.
