About the job
The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is seeking a junior professional to support its work across EU policy engagement and project implementation, with a particular focus on innovative initiatives such as the PANDAI (European Pandemics AI Observatory) project. The position sits at the intersection of global health policy, EU advocacy, and research coordination.
The selected candidate will contribute to IDA’s role within multi-stakeholder consortia, supporting engagement with European institutions, partners, and technical stakeholders involved in pandemic preparedness, surveillance, and response.
Responsibilities
Support implementation of EU-funded projects, including coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
Contribute to policy analysis and monitoring related to EU health, digital health, and pandemic preparedness
Assist in drafting policy briefs, reports, and communication materials
Support engagement with EU institutions, partners, and networks in Brussels
Contribute to dissemination and outreach activities, including events and workshops
Provide administrative and logistical support to project and policy activities
Requirements
Profile
2–3 years of relevant experience (internships included) in EU affairs, global health, public policy, or related fields
Strong interest in infectious diseases, pandemic preparedness, and/or digital health (including AI applications)
Familiarity with EU institutions and policymaking processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment
Lives in Copehagen but willing to relocate to Brussels
Excel (data, budgets), Word (reports), and PowerPoint (presentations)
Desirable
Experience with EU-funded projects (e.g. Horizon Europe)
Exposure to public health, epidemiology, or health data topics
Knowledge of additional European languages
