About the job
How would you like to help millions of people all over the world gain access to critical vaccines? How would you like to shape infectious disease policy and make decision-makers adopt a One Health mindset? And how would you like to lead social media communications for a young, rising NGO?
If your answer to the questions above is a resounding yes, then we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for a dedicated, ambitious volunteer to trumpet the IDA gospel across social media platforms.
You’ll join the communications team where you will be responsible for developing and populating LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky, Facebook, and possibly X (let’s talk first). To succeed in this role, you’ll work closely with the other team members incl. a graphic designer, a videographer, and a medical journal editor. We know social media content can be a mouthful, so you won’t be alone.

How to Apply

Sounds interesting? We think so, too.
And yes, let’s address the elephant in the room: This is a volunteer position, so why should you apply? Well, global resources for preventing and treating infectious diseases are unevenly distributed, to put it mildly. This imbalance has catastrophic consequences for hundreds of millions of people in the world’s poorer regions. IDA is determined to change this.
