Gender Equality in Health
Advancing gender-transformative approaches to infectious disease research, prevention, treatment and health governance.
The Committee promotes gender equality across infectious disease research, prevention and treatment, linking gender analysis with data on disease vulnerability and transmission. It focuses on the needs of adolescent girls, female caregivers and populations at risk of HIV, STIs, TB and NTDs, while supporting women’s leadership and more gender-responsive funding, research and health decision-making.
